The Golden Jubilee Scholarship program is for those Indian students studying in Nepal and Nepalese Students sponsored by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu. Interested candidates can apply for Golden Jubilee Scholarship Program online.

If you are willing to apply for Golden Jubilee Scholarship Program, you must fill out the online application through the website www.goischolarship.com.np. Applicants are not permitted to do so if they are currently getting financial aid from another source. Don’t include Class 11 grades, please. There are no scholarships available for diploma programs.

Interested candidates must submit the application form by December 16, 2022.

Eligibility for Golden Jubilee Scholarship Program

  • The candidate must be a regular first-year student at an accredited Nepali educational institution. The principal or institution director should confirm and post student enrolment in graduate or degree programs.
  • The applicant’s overall Intermediate Level grade point average (Class 12/Plus Two) has to be at least 70%. Please submit graded work from classes.
  • The age range for applicants should be between 17 and 22.
  • The candidate must be a citizen of Nepal. The citizenship certificate for the self or the parent(s) should also be uploaded.
  • The candidate’s family should have an annual income of no more than NRs. 2,000,000. Income proof issued by the CDO, LDO, or municipal head should be uploaded.
  • The CDO, LDO, or Municipality provides the candidate with a physical disability with a roof for them to be posted head.

Golden Jubilee Scholarship Program duration and amount

If the respective students continue to succeed in the first and succeeding years, they will be merited with Golden Jubilee Scholarship in the second and following years. The student should provide each year’s passing grade report (apart from the final year), which must be verified by the institute’s or college’s administration and bear the institution’s seal, along with the current status of their studies.

The documents must be turned in by the second week of December at the latest, either in person at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu’s Education Wing or the Indian Consulate General in Birgunj or electronically at attacheedu.kathmandu@mea.gov.in. If this is not done, the scholarship may be revoked. The scholarship will be canceled if the recipient fails twice in a row in two different semesters, quits attending school, or has another legitimate reason.

Crucial note

Indian Embassy Scholarship 2022 2023

  • Applicants are advised to contact the Birgunj Indian Consulate General and the Education Wing of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.
  • Candidates must accurately include their addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses on the online application form. Additionally, a current passport-size photo should be included.
  • The candidate must promptly notify any changes to their address, phone number, or mobile number in writing and have them signed.
  • False information provided on the online application will result in the application, candidacy, or scholarship being rejected outright, and no further claims will be considered.
