The Children’s Flim Festival is going to be held in 2023. The Children’s Film Festival will take place in 2023 thanks to a partnership between the British Council Nepal and Nepal Film Development Board.

The board claims that only 10 of the 40 films submitted in response to the “open call” were chosen for Children’s Film Festival. 16 of the 28 individuals selected for “Camera Sick” from the seven provinces were under 18. Every candidate received training and 50,000 Rupees to make a video.

Ten films have been promoted on social media, and the movie with the most views, likes, and comments will win cash. The deadline for this contest was Wednesday, February 8, at 5 p.m. for Children’s Film Festival.

The Children’s Film Society sought films created by young people in Nepal, and the British Council supports this effort. A total of 40 films were submitted as unique short films on the following three topics: inclusivity, cultural heritage, or climate change.

The Film was shorter than five minutes, including credits, both fiction and nonfiction films, and was free of copyright media. The video was to be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Nepal on December 20, 2022. The movie with the most likes, views, and comments among the ten films promoted on social media will receive money. The competition has a 5 p.m. deadline on February 8. The “Camera Seek” campaign started in 2019 with the collaboration between British Council and UK’s Into Film, aims to teach film literacy to Nepali children and encourage their attendance at theaters.
