On March 28: 5th Case of COVID-19 has been confirmed Today in Nepal. She is from outside valley, Baglung district of western Nepal. She is a 19 year old girl who came from Belgium via Qatar transit on Qatar Airways on March 17.
On March 27, the Fourth Case of COVID-19 Confirmed in Nepal. A 34-year-old Nepali man has been tested positive. He is undergoing treatment at Seti Province Hospital, Dhangadi. He was back from Dubai on Chaitra 11. It is the first case found outside the capital city, Kathmandu.
On March 25, one more coronavirus case is found in Shukraraaj Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital.
On March 23, 19 years old Nepalese girl who came from France via Qatar on 17th of March went to Teku for check up and she was tested corona positive.

Nepal postpones tourism year 2020
Nepal was celebrating Visit Nepal 2020. Due to the unhealthy situation around the world, Nepal postpones its promotion of tourism year 2020.
Nepal evacuates 175 Nepalese from Wuhan
Nepal has evacuated 175 citizens from Wuhan, the epi-center of CoronaVirus. All 175 citizens along with flight crew members remained in quarantine for 14 days. They have been released on 1/03/2020 and are found 100% healthy.
Pokhara International Airport construction will be delayed as the construction workers were on the holiday to China and they could not return.
Nepal On Arrival Visa Suspension

Thermal Screening of passengers
Nepal has started the thermal screening of passengers regardless of their country of origin.
Nepal Government has decided the following things to cope up with Coronavirus Nepal.
- To maintain a comfortable and regular supply of goods.
- To increase imports and production to supply the demand for essential commodities such as masks, sanitizers.
- To improve the fever measurement of passengers by making arrangements for health workers with equipment at the main points of entry to Nepal, including Tribhuvan International Airport.
The government has asked citizens not to roam around without any purpose. With the upcoming festival named Holi, the gatherings must be avoided.
The musical events & programs are constantly been postponed or canceled with a threat by CoronaVirus in Nepal.
The government has asked citizens to call on toll-free number 1137 if you find someone hiding masks or selling it in big price/commission.
The following are the new measures taken by different bodies in Nepal to prevent CoronaVirus.
- Domestic Airlines started measuring temperature. Buddha Airlines started to measure temperature on Falgun 23.
- Nepal’s government has tightened the borders.
- Nepal government announced that people should not rush on buying goods. Everything is on the stock that can fulfill the demand for up to six months.
