CTEVT has released a Notice Concerning a Certificate of Equivalence. Sanothimi, Bhaktapur-based Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) published the critical notice regarding the Certificate of Equivalence.

Notice Date: February 10, 2023

The notice says, “According to the decision of the Curriculum Committee, after the diploma and certificate or similar technical education studies at home and abroad, to obtain the equivalency certificate provided by the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council, overall GPA 4 in SEE/SLC examination of secondary level class 10 of 2076 and before 2075. 0 in 2018, those who have obtained an overall CGPA of 1.6 or have passed the same exam from abroad and obtained the same grade or score will be allowed to study for a diploma or similar, except for the health department and SEE of the secondary level class 10 of the year 2076 and before the year 2075.”

According to the Curriculum Committee’s decision, to receive an equivalent certificate from the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council after completing diploma and certificate programs or other technical education studies both domestically and abroad, students must have an overall CGPA of 1.6 or have passed the same exam from a foreign country and received the same grade or equivalent in 2018.

To make arrangements for students who completed the SLC test with a 2.0 overall CGPA and a 4.0 overall GPA or who passed a similar exam abroad and received the same grade or score to be entitled to study at the diploma/certificate level health faculty and to provide equivalency.

Health certificate as per Aadhaar (Eligibility) for admission under this council, which will be applicable from the academic session 2079/080. Diploma or equivalent admission qualification is other than A graded grade 4 overall C. G. P. A. 1.6 obtained admission to diploma and certificate programs in the Faculty of Health with a grade of 4 general. G. P. A. 2.0 should have been received, and the decision to provide equivalence accordingly should be informed to all the stakeholders.
