We always look for ways to get entertained. Be it through music, movies or series we want to refresh ourselves after a long day. I have noticed that in few years, Nepali youngster have become fan of American series. American series are so much fun to watch. Even though they don’t match with our culture and our lifestyle it is still really fun to watch.
I have seen many series fan who are so addicted to these series that they can’t pass even a day without it. Series are great way to refresh after along day but make sure you don’t get addicted to it .Don’t watch it to the extent that it hampers your daily schedule. Friends
Friends is an American series created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. The big credit goes to the creators for making such a beautiful series full of emotions. It aired from September 22, 1994 to May 6, 2004 and lasted ten seasons. It had star cast of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer. Despite it aired more fifteen years back, friends is still very popular .
Friend is no doubt my best series ever. Friends is my best friend when i am sad, low, or crying from period pain . Also when I am happy it is friends that make me more happy. The story line is just simple and they never fail to make you laugh. Friends is a series i recommend to everyone out there.

This is story of six friends living in new york city. The story revolves around their life, love, career , family and the strong friendship they have with each other. The six friends stand by each other no matter what. The story is very simple but the character play it so well that you get addicted to it. The six characters have their own uniqueness and traits that makes them so special.
Each character makes a place in your heart and you can’t help but love them . Once you sat watching friends you feel like they are the part of your life. In my experience, I have never watched anything more funny and relatable as friends. Friends is definitely my favorite series of all time.

The Walking Dead is another very modern and entertaining series in the list. It was created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. This is story of survivors of a zombie apocalypse, trying to stay alive in the threat and horror.
Lead characters
The lead characters include Andrew Lincoln playing Rick Grimes, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, and Danai Gurira.
The aired in October 31, 2010 and the last season aired in February, 2020. It has gained lot of regular viewers . The story is quite different so it also received mix response from critics and viewers specially in the last few seasons. Despite that it has won several awards including Writers Guild of America.
Game of thrones
Game of Thrones is one of the most loved America series. It is an American fantasy drama created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss . The show aired on HBO in April 17, 2011 and will end in 2020 this year. Unlike other series in the list GOT is quite different as it is fictional and has very unique story line. The cinematography is also truly mesmerizing. They shoot the episodes in Northern Ireland .
The plot is about the game to achieve t power and throne. Characters fight for the Iron Throne of the seven kingdoms . In that fight there are plotting and strategies . And there is a night who defends the realm against people fighting for it.
Big bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory is an American television sitcom created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. Big bang theory is one of its kind and truly the most funny in this list. From unique characters to very unique story line, big bang theory never fails to make you laugh. The show aired on September 24, 2007 and ended on May 16, 2020. In this long run total of 279 episodes aired and the show in overall was a big hit.
Story line
The story revolves around five characters living in Pasadena, California. The characters are Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper, both physicist who share an apartment, their friends aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz and astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali and Penny, an aspiring actress lives across the hall.
These people are kind of awkward and do all the stupidity. Genius but stupid at the same time and that what makes this story so unique. The show received very good response from audience .
How I met your mother
How I Met Your Mother or HIMYM is another very popular American sitcom. Craig Thomas and Carter Bays created the show and it aired on 2005. The show lasted till 2014. The story is all about a father reciting his life story to his children in 2030.
In all its season there was total of 208 episodes that aired . The story starts with after telling his children about how he met his wife or their mother . The story is a bit similar to friends a where few friends in their 20s and 30s live in New york city. The story revolves around their life, love, career and daily struggles.
Why is HIMYM unique ?
The series is unique for its humor and incorporation of dramatic yet relatable elements, the story revolves around main character Ted Mosby and his friends. Even though the fame of show decreased in later seasons it is still one of the most loved series of all time. The show won many awards including nomination for Emmy awards, Alyson Hannigan won the People’s Choice Award in 2010 and in 2012 it won People’s Choice Award for Favorite Network TV Comedy.
