Lumbini General Insurance has released a notice regarding providing Scholarships in Honor of the Founding Chairman. Lumbini General Insurance presented scholarships to ten students attending the Vishwa Shanti Buddhist School in Minbhawan, Bihar, in the capital city of Nepal.

The corporation has offered a scholarship worth Rs 120,000 at a rate of Rs 12,000 annually. The Insurance company is providing scholarships in memory of the late Himalaya Shamsher Rana. Himalaya Shamsher Rana is a founder of Lumbini General Insurance company. The founder passed away on February 5th, 2023.

The scholarship award ceremony took place on the twelfth day following Rana’s passing. During this time, Buddhist religious authorities and monks prayed for Rana’s eternal peace and spoke for an hour about his life. Manohar Das Mull, the company’s chairman, director Vishwaraj Regmi, previous director Shankar Ghimire, CEO NP Pradhan, and other top executives attended the ceremony.
The program on the twelfth day of Rana’s death began with discussion of the biography of Himalaya Rana’s life. The scholarship was provided to the selected individual at the same ceremony. At the event, Buddhist religious leaders and monks chanted Gunanusmriti and Paritran, repeating Rana’s merits, and finally paid their respects. They also discussed Rana’s life story and his contribution to the nation while wishing for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
The program was attended by the company’s chairman Manohar Das Mull, director Vishwaraj Regmi, previous director Shankar Ghimire, chief executive officer NP Pradhan, and other top executives. As mentioned above, the students are rewarded with a scholarship worth Rs 12000 per year. However, the names of individuals who received a reward have not been declared.
