Mai Khola Hydropower Project has started issuing the IPO to the Locals impacted and Nepalis working overseas. Mai Khola Hydropower Corporation will release its first public offering to the project-affected residents of Ilam District and Nepalese people abroad from 25th Falgun till its closing on 9th Chaitra, 2079.

A private company called Mai Khola Hydropower Project was established in 2073 B.S. The first (pilot) project of Mai Khola Hydropower Ltd., the Super-Mai Cascade Hydropower Project (3 Mw), will start soon. Its goal is to extract water from the 7.8 MW Tailrace Canal of the Super Mai Hydropower Project to generate 18.30 GWh of electricity.

The project-affected residents of Ilam District and Nepalese nationals residing abroad can purchase shares of Mai Khola Hydropower Project’s initial public offering from 25th Falgun until its conclusion on 9th Chaitra, 2079. It should be highlighted that if the early closing date is not met, the issue may persist for residents of the Ilam District until the 24th Chaitra.
Nonetheless, the problem won’t persist through the early closure date for Nepali nationals who work abroad. Residents in the Ilam District who the project will impact received 10% of the company’s 39.21 crores in issued capital, or 392,157 unit shares, valued at 3.92 crores.
Afterward, 15,29,411 unit shares will be made available to the general public, representing 39% of the company’s outstanding capital. 10% of the shares, or 152,941 units, are for Nepali nationals employed abroad. The offering will begin right now.
The minimum and maximum application quantities for the project’s locations are 10 and 10,000 units, respectively. The minimum and total application numbers for Nepali nationals working abroad are 10 and 50,000, respectively. The issue manager has been selected as Prabhu Capital Ltd. There will be a 51:49 promoter-public share ratio following this IPO.
