Ncell has released a notice regarding Giving Achievement Awards and Grants to Excellent Engineering Students. The Institute of Engineering (IoE), Pulchowk, recently received the Ncell Scholarship and Excellence Award from Ncell Axiata Ltd., a primary telecommunications provider in Nepal.

Ncell Axiata Limited presented Scholarships and Excellence Awards to deserving students from five different faculties at the Institute of Engineering (IoE), Pulchowk Campus, on Friday as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the company said.
The five faculties combined into this program are civil, electrical, electronics and communication, computer, and mechanical engineering. The scholarships and excellence awards were presented to students during a special event held at the company’s ICON, the company’s headquarters in Kathmandu, in the presence of the IoE teachers and the student’s families.

Among the 18 scholarship recipients are three first-year, second-year, and top third-year students in the faculties of civil, electrical, electronics and communication, computer, and mechanical engineering, as well as three female first-year, second-year, and top third-year students among all female students in these five faculties.
The Ncell Excellence Awards were given to the graduates with the highest marks from each of these five faculties and to the female graduate with the highest marks among all female graduates from the five faculties. Scholarships and excellence prizes each have a value of Rs. 100,000.
The CEO, Andy Chong, at the event said, “Since 2014, we have been glad to work in partnership with the reputable Institute of Engineering (IoE) (Pulchowk Campus) to support the development of a young talent pool based on their academic performance through Ncell Scholarships and Excellence Awards. At the company, they give three areas the government has identified in line with the SDG’s significant emphasis. Since education is essential to us, we look forward to continuing this endeavor.”
