The Bheri Babai Diversion Multipurpose Project (BBDMP) in Surkhet District is being built, and NEA Engineering Company Ltd, a subsidiary of Nepal Electricity Authority, is looking for experienced, organized, motivated, and competent Nepali citizens to supervise its development.

The notice says, “NEA Engineering Company Limited, a division of Nepal Electricity Authority, needs an experienced candidate. Based on the following, organized, committed, and capable Nepalese citizens will be stationed at the project site for construction to supervise the Bheri Babai Diversion Multipurpose Project (BBDMP) in the Surkhet District.”

- Team Leader
Minimum Qualification Degrees Required: Having a graduate degree in civil engineering or hydropower engineering and a master’s degree in hydropower, geotechnical engineering, construction management, water resources, or structural engineering.
More than 15 years of broad experience with at least one hydropower project with a 40 MW capacity designed and built, as well as more than ten years of relevant experience as a project manager, chief resident engineer, or team leader. I have supervised at least one water resource, migration, or hydropower project with a minimum capacity of 40 MW or 40,000 ha of irrigation with a barrage.
2. Geotechnical Engineer
Minimum Qualification Degrees Required: Electrical engineering bachelor’s degree, preferably with a master’s in a relevant discipline.
Has more than ten years of extensive experience. Either a master’s degree in engineering or seven years of experience in similar sectors supervising construction. At least one irrigation project (headworks with barrage and desilting basin) with a command area of 30,000 ha or one hydropower project with a minimum capacity of 20 MW.
