On June 1, 2008, the Public Service Commission was founded (corresponding to June 15, 1951, A.D.). Since it was established, this panel has chosen qualified applicants for civil service positions. According to Nepal’s Constitution, the Public Service Commission is responsible for holding written tests to fill positions in the civil service, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force of Nepal, and other federal government agencies. Public Service Commission is included in Part 23 of the Nepalese Constitution.
According to Article 243 of the Nepalese Constitution, the Public Service Commission must hold exams to determine which applicants are qualified for appointment to civil service positions. In the article above, it is made clear that, except for other service posts mentioned explicitly in the Act, all other service posts of the Government of Nepal are included when the term “civil service post” is used to refer to a soldier, Nepal Police officer, or member of the Armed Police Force.

The notice says, “This office advertisement no. 11418 / 078-79 (Open), Nepal Engineering Service, Mechanical Group, N.U.S. Subgroup, Rep. No. Second Class (Technical), 3 (three) candidates selected for the practical test and interview from the written test taken for operator demand post number 2 (two) on January 24, 2079.”
For the following 7 (seven) days following the date this result was published on the Commission’s website (www.psc.gov.np/advertise/advertise/user), the concerned candidate will have access to the overall score obtained by the candidates who were chosen for the interview in this advertisement through the written test and appeared for the interview.
