Intraocular lens manufacturing facility for research. Currently, suitable Nepali applicants are urgently needed by community initiatives and eye banks.

TIO presently consists of six sections, which are as follows: The SurgiCenter, which has a fully functional, modern ophthalmic facility; the Academic and Training department, which manages academic programs, short- and long-term training, and exposure training;
The Nepal Eye Bank runs an eye donation program to provide corneas to fight corneal blindness, the Outreach department covers cataract screening and surgical camps throughout Nepal and some other foreign countries, the Research department concentrates on improving clinical as well as operational activities, and the Manufacturing facility creates world-class intraocular lenses at a reasonable price.

Qualification required for the Senior Ophthalmologist Position at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology
- After completing an MBBS at a reputable university, an MD/MS is comparable to five years of experience.
- The selection process will favour applicants who have completed a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship.
- You must be registered with the Nepal Medical Council and hold a sub-speciality registration to practice ophthalmology.
