New update:

The German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has collaborated with the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) through the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) since 2004. The GIZ Support Project to KAIPTC seeks to enhance the Centre’s capacities for promoting peace and security in the region by providing financial and technical support to the Centre. The collaboration focuses specifically on strengthening civilian capacities for conflict prevention, management, and resolution. In this context, the Project supports the Centre in four main thematic areas:

1. Support to the Development of a Learning Management System (LMS) to improve the monitoring and networking with KAIPTC’s alumni family.
2. Facilitation of Regional Cooperation & Exchange between the Centre and its strategic partners.

3.Development of Demand-Based and Gender-Sensitive Training for Civilian Personnel.

4.Strengthening of Institutional Capacities and Organisation Development.
