Department of Information and Broadcasting (DOIB), Sanchargram, Kathmandu, published the notice regarding Scholarships for undergraduate journalism students.
The government of Nepal, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Department of Information and Broadcasting, has issued a notice regarding the Scholarships to be provided for undergraduate journalism students. Accordingly, this scholarship will fund fourteen worthy undergraduate journalism students.
The Scholarships are for the financial year 2079/80 to those students who have passed the proficiency certificate level or 10+2 in Journalism. Also, students studying at the graduate level are invited to apply by DOIB to the department in the format as scheduled. The individual must apply for this Scholarship within 30 days from this notice’s publication date.
Document required for this Scholarships
- The individual must attach a copy of the Nepali Citizenship certificate and the application.
- One needs to provide a copy of the merit certificate of passing proficiency certificate level or 10+2 in Journalism subjects to get this scholarship.
- The candidates must have a Letter of recommendation certifying that the relevant campus is studying journalism at the graduate level. (In the following recommendation letter, there must be a clear name of the student along with the final year of graduation, and it should be clear that the study period is at least six months left ).
- Candidate must provide a recently clicked passport-size photograph.

The fourteen students who applied for the Scholarship must be selected from the following:
- Open: 5 people
- women: 3 candidate
- Dalits: 1 person
- Tribal/tribals: 1 person
- Madhesi: 1 person
- Muslim: 1 person
- Disabled: 1 person
- Backward areas: 1 person
