Curriculum Development Center has announced that they plan to adopt new curricula in 2080 for Grades 5, 8, and 10. The Curriculum Development Center is working on achieving this. There are syllabuses for classes 5 and 10.

According to the center’s director general, Baikuntha Prasad Aryal, the development of the curricula for grades 5 and 10 is complete, and work on the curriculum for class 8 is now in progress. He said, “Starting with the next academic session, classes 5, 8, and 10 will be taught utilizing the new curriculum.”

He said, “we’re putting the eighth-grade lesson plan together. After getting a “print-ready copy” from Janak Shiksha Samagri Kendra, the center will print the new textbook. He claims that the print-ready version of the class 5 curriculum has been delivered to Janak Shiksha Material Center. Classes 4, 7, and 9 started with the updated curriculum last year.
Students must use the updated curriculum to take the Secondary Education Examination (SEE), which will be given in 2080. However, students taking the SEE in 2079 will do so while following the preceding course material. An earlier government plan called for the new curriculum to be implemented in every classroom at the secondary school level by the year 2080.
According to the Director General of Curriculum Development Center Aryal, the government’s plan provided the framework for applying the new curriculum. For grades 8 and 10, two additional topics will be added to the list of mandatory studies. For class 5, students must take English, Nepali, mathematics, science, social studies, and health and physical education subjects.
New syllabus for Grades 5, 8,& 10
According to the “National Curriculum Format” 2076, new curricula will be used in all school-level classes by 2080. Only in 2077 was the curriculum for classes 1 and 11 updated. In 2078, the curriculum for grades 2, 3, and 12 will be revised and implemented. Similar to how the new curriculum has been adapted for grades 4, 7, and 9 as of the 2079–2080 academic year.
