Mobile Internet settings to activate Internet in NTC sim cards
The importance of mobile data net for customers has been realised by NTC as well. So, the configurations settings are provided as soon as you switch on your mobile after putting your SIM in it. GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) Settings has to be installed, data network should be turned on and you can surf the internet then. NTC has introduced 4G internet as well. However, if it does not happen, you can opt for another SMS process. You have to send SMS to NTC to request the settings for your handset. Type VGPRS and send it to 1400 or Type GPRS and send it to 1404. You will be forwarded the GPRS configuration settings. Save it in your mobile. Restart your device. Connect to the data net, and you will be able to surf the net. The keyword sometimes might be unique to your handset. It is GPRS for Nokia, LG, Motorola and Indian handset, SaGPRS for Samsung mobiles, SeGPRS for Sony Ericsson mobiles and ChGPRS for Chinese Handsets.
If you are still unable to connect to the net, you need to enter the GPRS configuration settings manually. Go to “Access Point Name (APN)” through the Settings option in your mobile. Then you have to enter the parameters for GPRS which are manual.

Enter these parameters in the respective fields, save it and then you are connected to the internet through NTC in your mobile handset.
Mobile Internet settings to activate Internet in NCELL sim cards
Mobile internet is already activated in all the SIM cards of Ncell. As soon as you put your SIM in your mobile and switch it on, you will get a message saying: “You have received the configuration settings for your mobile.” You just have to install it, and then you are connected to the net. You can have lots of Ncell Offers if you are using internet though NCELL network on your mobile device.
However, if this does not happen, you have other alternatives. You can use any of the following methods:
- Type A and SMS it to 900224
- Dial 900 and follow the instructions.
- Dial *100# and follow the instructions.
To activate internet in mobile sets for Ncell network, type ALL and send it to 9595. You will receive the settings, save it and you are ready to surf the net.
If this does not seem to work for you, you need to enter the parameters for the configuration manually. Go to APN through Settings option in your mobile and type the following parameters:
- APN: Web
- Homepage: ncell.com.np
Save it, and then you are connected to the net.
